It seems like U.S.+China= almost exactly 50% of many things (e.g., global GDP, global wealth, global mfg, global CO2 emissions, military spending, etc.). Chinese research: 27.2% (U.S.=24.9%) of the world’s top 1% most frequently cited research papers, while UK research was third at 5.5%. I need to chew on this & dive deeper into the data.
