Winter NACE 2024 Salary Survey: https://lnkd.in/eJJCfx5c. My students love salary data…The 10 Highest-Paying Supply Chain Jobs: https://lnkd.in/e35zVDv4. As part of the 2023 survey, ASCM looked at salary ranges by title. Based on the data, the top 10 non-executive supply chain titles by their median salaries were:

My SCM students often ask: What earnings can I expect in my career if it goes well? Elon Musk says: “You get paid in direct proportion to the difficulty of the problems you solve”. Another lesser known manager told my students: “The critical factor for this salary gap is that if you reach 35-ish years old and have never led a team, then it’s *extremely* difficult to move up to the next level.” Tons of data out there to be had and make sense of…

Everything has a supply chain and everything comes from a supply chain.
In a demonstration of the value of paid internships, although most Class of 2024 graduates participated in an internship, paid interns received more job offers after graduation than either unpaid interns or those who did not participate in one, according to the NACE 2024 Student Survey. https://ow.ly/ZB5q50Txw80

What do/should SCM/business internships pay? The going rate is $20-30 per hour. For goodness sake, ALDI is paying people in the front of the store $17/hr & people in the back/warehouses $23/hr. Based on my observations: employers that interview for internships very selectively & pay market value, tend to convert exceptional talent into full-time employees. In fact, they pay their interns a salary that is very close to what their full-time offers are. For example, from a student:
“My interview process w/ Firm A was amazing. They started off with a logic test and then proceeded w/ 3 rounds of virtual interviews. The last round was me personally with the vice president of Purchasing, which I thought was a sign of care of their interns…compared to Firm B where I had a single round interview with two younger people in their job rotation program. Also, Firm A is offering me 20% more in salary. Firm B also put a bad taste in my mouth when they made the offer 1.5 months after the interview. And Firm B said that I would have a decision from them a week after my interview, which obviously did not happen.”
